Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Scribe to join our Substance Abuse team in the Metro Richmond area. In this role, you will gather and document information about clients who participate in an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program. Responsibilities include completing daily group notes and have the ability to operate electronic health records. The candidate for this position MUST be a CSAC, CSAC-S, or CSAC-T and have experience in addiction services.
Responsibilities
- Documenting clients’ group participation by taking notes and entering them in the electronic health records system
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients’, doctors, and Substance Abuse staff
- Complete administrative tasks as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- CSAC, CSAC-S, or CSAC-T required
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar position
- Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
- Strong computer and transcription skills
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure

Compensation: $17.50 per hour
