About the Role:
Join Mental Health Pros by VABODE as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in Central VA area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional mental health services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental health illness (SMI).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Engage in community outreach and education to raise mental health awareness.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in all interactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Current QMHP certification.
- Experience with clients who have co-occurring disorders.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a community mental health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client-centered care.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation: $27.50 - $32.50 per hour

Our team of therapeutic providers have a proven track record of successful client outcomes. Through several non-profit programs, community mental health services, and substance abuse programs, we are able to help families and individuals find the healing, support, and success they deserve. We currently serve clients in Ashland, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hampton, Hanover, Henrico, Newport News, Norfolk, Suffolk, Petersburg, Portsmouth, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and areas in between.
