Our organization provides a continuum of services including substance use treatment, outpatient therapy, case management, and integrated behavioral health support.
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed/Licensed Eligible Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to primarily provide substance use case management services while also delivering therapy and clinical support for individuals with behavioral health and substance use challenges.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful client relationships, coordinating services, removing barriers to recovery, and helping clients achieve lasting positive outcomes.
Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will serve primarily in a Substance Use Case Management role while also providing clinical therapeutic services. The clinician will conduct assessments, assist with treatment planning, coordinate resources, provide counseling services, and support clients throughout the recovery process.
Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
• Conduct psychosocial and substance use assessments
• Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services as appropriate
• Utilize evidence-based interventions including:

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Solution-Focused Therapy

• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Assist with discharge planning and transition services

Case Management Responsibilities
• Coordinate and link clients with:
- Housing resources
- Medical services
- Employment support
- Community resources
- Transportation assistance
- Financial and social support services
• Monitor client progress toward treatment goals
• Advocate for clients and assist with overcoming barriers to recovery
• Coordinate care with physicians, probation officers, referral sources, families, and community providers
• Support continuity of care and recovery planning

Documentation & Compliance Responsibilities
• Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes
• Maintain compliance with DBHDS, Medicaid, and organizational standards

Qualifications
Required
• Active Virginia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license or LCSW eligible
• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Minimum two years of behavioral health, substance use treatment, or related experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000–$82,000 annually
