Mental Health Pros./ SMARTS Recovery by VABODE has been helping individuals and families throughout the state of Virginia for 30 years. In partnership with our non-profit organization, Christian Soldiers Charities and Missions, we strive to help those affected the most by poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, and emotional and behavioral needs. Our team of therapeutic providers have a proven track record of successful client outcomes, and we are able to help families and individuals find the healing, support, and success they deserve.
VABODE is seeking a CSAC-S or CSAC for immediate positions in our Chesterfield location. We are a technologically advanced state-wide healthcare agency with career opportunities for individuals who have experience facilitating ASAM 2.1, 2.5, or 3.1 services. The Substance Abuse Counselor will scribe for the group facilitator (CSAC) five days per week in three-hour sessions and may facilitate in the absence of the CSAC. The average per-group caseload will not exceed 12 clients.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a qualified Human Services Field
Experience:
- Medical Scribe 1 year (Required)
- Understanding of the substance abuse population
- Familiarity and experience using electronic health record system
License/Certification:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee or Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (Required)
Schedule:
- Scribe for 2 SAIOP groups for a total of 6 hours
- Monday – Friday (8:30-5:00 pm)
- No weekends
- Must have own transportation
Drug Screening, Driver Record Review, Criminal Record Investigation, and Professional Recommendations including Official Educational Transcripts are required.
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
