Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team! In this role, you will assess, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. In this role, you will assess, diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Responsibilities
- Perform mental health and substance abuse assessments
- Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
- Create individualized treatment plans for each client
- Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
- Perform regular wellness checks
- Adhere to all facility and licensing standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, or similar field
- Current and unrestricted license (LPC, LCSW, LP, LMFT)
- Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
Compensation: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year

Through several non-profit programs, community mental health services, and substance abuse programs, we are able to help families and individuals find the healing, support, and success they deserve. We currently serve clients in Ashland, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hampton, Hanover, Henrico, Newport News, Norfolk, Suffolk, Petersburg, Portsmouth, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and areas in between.
